Mills Institute (M.I.L.L.S.) was founded on January 5th, 2009, by local educators Dr Carlton Mills and his wife Debby-Lee Mills. Over the years, MILLS Institute has established a proud history of providing world-class education to students in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Our motto is “Blazing the Trail for Academic Achievement,” and we encourage our students to be their very best.
The acronym M.I.L.L.S. stands for Mills Institute of Lifelong Learning and Success
As a leading primary school, we bring together students, parents, and teachers representing more than 10 different nationalities into one caring, vibrant community. We don’t just train the mindβwe educate the head, hands, and heart of every child.

We encourage healthy lifestyles; therefore, our tuck-shop serves well-balanced meals. Also, we provide Physical Education classes designed to equip students with the knowledge of acquiring and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
A Godly Place
MILLS Institute is not a faith-based institution however, the school has been founded on Godly principles.Β The owners and all members of our staff are Christian – educated and guided by godly premises. In addition, MILLS Institute conducts devotions before the start of each day.
Extra-Curricular
The school is well equipped to provide extracurricular activities that are geared towards increasing training and socialization to help students now and in the future. Among these are clubs and sports teams in the Kindergarten and Elementary divisions.
Discipline
We believe that discipline creates character, and we hold ourselves and our students to this belief. The main goals of discipline are to foster self-control and positive conduct. When reward is due, it is given; however, when discipline is needed it is administered also. Corporal punishment is not allowed at the school.
