Our Facilities
The cottage-like setting at Mills Institute is unlike any other in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The environment is warm, colorful, and inviting. The students are happy, and hugs and smiles abound.
The perimeter of the school is enclosed with white picket fences which seem to beckon to visitors to come on inside and experience our charm and neighborliness. There is a security gate which is locked during school hours, ensuring a safe environment for all our students.
Beautiful Campus Grounds
The surrounding areas are paved, graveled, and bordered by lush tropical hedges and trees. Native walls surround the gardens, creating a natural, serene learning environment.
Colorful lunch tables are conveniently placed so that students can interact during meals, fostering community and friendship in our beautiful outdoor spaces.
Dedicated Play Areas
We have two separate grassed play areas designed specifically for different age groups - one for our Preschoolers and Kindergarteners, and another for our grade students.
These spaces are surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, providing a safe and engaging environment for physical activity and outdoor learning.
The Reading Oasis / Reading Garden
This special reading area was established to encourage students to read outside the traditional classroom structure. Students are allowed to read in a relaxing, garden-like setting which will develop their love for reading over time.
The Reading Oasis provides a peaceful sanctuary where imagination can flourish and young minds can explore new worlds through books.
MILLS Printing Services
MILLS Printing Services specializes in customized prints for every occasion. We manage the printing of t-shirts for our school's clubs, graduation t-shirts and PE uniforms. We also provide personalized mugs and tumblers, customized hats, souvenir items, stone frames, fridge magnets, and personalized coasters—perfect for gifts, events, and branding. Our items are crafted with care and made to last. Orders may be placed at the school.

Best Practices
DEAR (Drop Everything and Read)
Every afternoon, fifteen minutes after lunch, our entire school community takes part in our in our DEAR program. This is a dedicated time when everyone “drops everything” and enjoys reading. This simple yet powerful routine fosters focus, relaxation, and a shared love for books, helping students develop consistent reading habits that extend beyond the classroom.
The Reading Oasis (The Reading Garden)
Our Reading Garden & Oasis offers a peaceful, garden-like setting where students can read in a calm and natural environment. This outdoor reading space was created to encourage students to experience the joy of reading beyond traditional classroom walls. Surrounded in vivid colors and greenery, they discover that reading can be both relaxing and inspiring.
